Oregon State University-Student Family Housing - Corvallis, Oregon

The master plan for Orchard Court Student Family Housing sought to create a balance between providing maximum density housing while also ensuring amenities for an inclusive and healthy living environment. This balance was achieved through thoughtful site design, unit placement and form. The greatest amount of open space was first identified in relation to the maximum density allowed by the City of Corvallis. The site design was planned around the open space framework prioritizing these spaces as areas where residents could interact in a community spirit. The inclusiveness of the site was enhanced through the provisions of an ADA playground as well as an ADA upgrade of the existing laundry facility.
