In 2001, the City of Eugene facilitated a planning process to prepare a concept plan and a resource management plan for Rasor Park, a 10 acre portion of the West Bank riverfront park system in the River Road area of Eugene.

The planning process included comprehensive public involvement and engaging potential stakeholders in three public meetings. The public meetings were designed to engage the public in the design process and to receive comments on the schematic designs, framework plan and policy directions.

Schlesinger & Associates. provided the planning team with design services including the preparation of a site opportunity and constraints plan, preliminary concept design and final illustrative schematic design. Schlesinger & Associates also participated in all of the public workshops, assisted in the preparation of presentation materials and engaged the public in discussions relating to the schematic park design.
